During this 2½-hour walk around the historic center, we will introduce you to over 800 years of Amsterdam’s history, culture and traditions. 

How did Amsterdam develop from that tiny settlement on the banks of the river Amstel to the unique, multi-faceted and fascinating city of today? How did the Golden Age influence urban development in Amsterdam and how did the world famous Canal Belt come into being? We’ll take you to Dam Square, the Begijnhof and of course the Red Light District. On part of this tour, you will have the chance to taste some typical Dutch delicacies; herring, cheese, and Genever
