Restaurant Guide Amsterdam

Holland is not really renowned for its fine kitchen, but Amsterdam has got a lot of good restaurants to offer. Ticketbar selected 10 of Amsterdams Finest Restaurants for you!

Restaurant Chang-I
Address: Jan Willem Brouwersstr 7, Amsterdam
T: 020 4701700
Website: http://www.chang-i.nl/
The food here is excellent and the service is very good. Guests consider themselves as Vips in this number one Chinese Restaurant of Amsterdam. The fish dishes are of the highest quality and superbly prepared. Desserts are light and imaginative. The Decor is striking; the ambiance elegant and romantic. A recommendation for the Asian-Fusion Food lover.

Restaurant Vis aan de Schelde
Address: Scheldeplein 4, Amsterdam

This restaurant will serve you the best seafood that you'll experience in Amsterdam. Not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for! It is obviously a popular place so make your reservation early. Basically; if you're in Amsterdam, and you like fish make sure you go to Vis aan de Schelde.

Restaurant Lastage
Address: Geldersekade 29, Amsterdam
T:  020 7370811
Website: http://www.restaurantlastage.nl/
Forget the trouble with meringue and other modernist stuff. Lastage at restaurant is all about pure flavors and the right presentation. The classic French cuisine is served with verve, although the roots are deep in the North-Holland polder land. Homemade sausages and ham: the style of the chef-cook is not rigid, but rather to call rock and roll. The deer of the barbecue is a must as is the well-stocked cheese board with different cheeses. A true asset to the neighborhood-Lastage!

Restaurant Nevy
Address: Westerdoksdijk 40, Amsterdam
T: 020 3446409
Website: http://www.nevy.nl/
If you like wide waterside views you can't go wrong here, except if you don't like fish… You will come to this hotspot for the view over the water: “Het IJ.” The restaurant has a great location and the restaurant's atmosphere is just right. On the menu you’ll find many fish and fine wines and at the "raw bar" you can order sashimi and oysters.

De Belhamel

Address: Brouwersgracht 60, Amsterdam

T: 020 6221095

Website: http://www.belhamel.nl/

Like the location is the facility unique: entirely in Art Nouveau style with a lot of original details. The bar provides an excellent opportunity for an appetizer before dinner. Certainly not pretentious but excellent food and good service to back it up in a relax atmosphere. This is the reason that a lot of Amsterdam Locals visit this place for many years.

Restaurant Red

Address: Keizersgracht 594, Amsterdam

T: 020 3201824

Website: http://www.restaurantred.nl/

Restaurant Red had a makeover recently and the result is stunning. It is specialised in steak & lobster. It provides a nice decor with a lovely atmosphere. Combine your lobster or steak with one of the great wines or Champagnes on the menu. Definetely one of the best restaurants in town!

Restaurant Braque

Address: Albert Cuypstraat 29-31, Amsterdam

T: 020 6707357

Website: http://www.caferestaurantbraque.com/

The menu is just right  and the food is pleasantly flavored. High ceilings and huge mirrors ensure style, but it remains intimate and warm. If you are looking for the perfect mix between a luxury cafe and restaurant in the Quartier Latin of Amsterdam 'the Pijp', you've come to the right place.

Restaurant Loetje

Address: Johannes Vermeerstraat 52, Amsterdam

T: 020 6628173

Website: http://www.loetje.com

This typical Dutch restaurant is set in a local neighbourhood rather than a tourist area. Convenient to both the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, Cafe Loetje is THE place in Amsterdam for beef. This place is not pretentious, but offers just simple food cooked to perfection at a reasonable price.

Pizzeria La Perla

Address: Tweede Tuindwarsstraat 14, Amsterdam

Website: http://www.pizzaperla.nl

Sit at the benches outside this small, typical Italian pizza place and enjoy the wonderful Jordaan area! This place doesn't only use the best fresh and biological ingredients but also has a traditional wood-fired oven. Be aware that this is not a restaurant for a romantic dinner and there might be no place to sit but it is still worth to try the best pizza in town!

Brasserie Vlaming

Address: Prinsengracht 193, Amsterdam

T: 06 51316314

Website: http://www.eetcafevlaming.nl/

This little cozy restaurant, located near the Anna Frank house is a must-do for everyone who is visiting Amsterdam. The platter full of delicacies and the wild boar tenderloin with plum sauce are highly recommended. The Fries are also delicious and the dessert: warm dadelcake in caramelsaus, hmmm just delicious. The nice owner is always arround to make sure everything is running smoothly.
