The Rijksmuseum is the museum of the Netherlands, and one of the most famous museums in the world.

The museum has the largest collection of Rembrandts, among which his best-known creation: Night Watch. Additionally, the Rijksmuseum houses a large collection of other important Dutch Masters from the Golden Age: Johannes Vermeer, Jan Steen and Frans Hals.

The Rijksmuseum displays 800 years of Dutch history with 8,000 treasures and historical artifacts from the Middle Ages to the present day. Paintings, prints, drawings, photographs, silver, porcelain, Delftware, furniture, jewels, weapons, costumes and other objects reveal the rich history of Holland.

The museum also welcomes you to exciting temporary exhibitions in the Philips Wing. We have guided tours, educational programs and other facilities for all ages.

Next door to our museum is RIJKS®, our one-Michelin-starred restaurant. Our guests can enjoy the beautiful creations of Executive Chef Joris Bijdendijk and his team in the heart of the lively Museum Square. Dutch quality, authenticity and uniqueness are translated into the delicious dishes we serve.
